Stars is a song I wrote in Boston. I was living in Jamaica Plain and remember writing it at my kitchen table one night. Late 1990s. Same situation as Get On With It. I was thinking about The Replacements. I wrote the song in an open D tuning thinking it might be a better key for my voice. It wasn't. Fuck it. It's mostly a good song though somewhat too long—too many verses. Love the vibe though. Addison's backing vocals are on point.
